I moved to the country, as in corn and soy fields, pick-up trucks, and self-made sleeveless tee shirts. Before the country, I lived in the city, a big city with a reddish-orange bridge that takes your breath every time you see it. I loved that city. It was in my bones. But there was a daughter (and a son that came later) and a husband and an oddly persistent urge to farm. So now there is an old farmhouse and a barn with pastures and woods. There is a lot of dirt. There are also animals and bees.
I am from Portland, Oregon. It is important that you know that about me. Don't forget it. Please.
If I had to take a picnic basket to a desert island, it would probably have cream, figs, natto, and pecans (the little sweet kind).
I am a recovering lawyer. This means that I have annoying fine print: I have the exclusive right to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, distribute copies of, and display the content, including text and photos, on www.blueeggkitchen.com. Please be a gem and do not take any of these actions without my permission. Likewise, I’m not a dietitian, doctor, or some other professional on whom you might more wisely rely for issues relating to your health. And please do not take anything on this site to be legal advice or as creating an attorney-client relationship.
