Nourishing Us

Elinor arrived one evening in early December.  My parents cooked for us for twenty-one days.  On the twenty-second day, I cooked two eggs over-easy in a pat of butter.  I dressed some baby lettuces in olive oil and sea salt.  I had been nourished since she was born, but now I was nourishing us.  Elinor, real food, and me.  Here is our journey.
